We want to move the mountains

We are looking forward to invite more volunteers to help and enjoy the work in the land with us. To do that, we need to build more accomodation structures for them. Since we are blessed with a beautiful hill shape land, we are looking to flatten the area first before we can raise the structures.
We realized that we would need bigger machine to do this work. At the beginning, we were looking around to rent a suitable TLB, but the rental prices we found were quite too expensive. Not only that we would have to pay hourly fee but we would also have to feed and accommodate the driver as well.
Since we are looking for a lot of ground leveling work and creating the community dam as well, it is very clear to us, that the best thing we can do, is to buy a used TLB and drive it ourselves.
After we did our research, we found out we will need approximately 330 996, 00 ZAR to keep going with our work. TLB JCB 272740,00 ZAR Service Kit 39746,00 ZAR Diesel 18510,00 ZAR Totally 330996,00 ZAR

We are so grateful and appreciate all the donations we received so far. With your wonderful one time donation we were able to purchase the TLB machine as we needed. We feel blessed!! Thank you for believing in us and our work. With your generosity and support we are able now to move forward and start leveling the volunteer area ground!! Everybody had a big smile at our village seeing the TLB coming up on the trailer.
We were planning to off load the TLB at our place in the mountains, but the truck carrying the TLB couldn’t make it up the mountains, so we ended up driving it ourselves, which was so much fun.
As you probably know how it is with all old machines, you must have a good relationship with them and invest more into the maintanance so they will last forever. Therefore our first maintenance work was to fill in the grease in each and every hole in order to keep the machine running smoothly. The old hydraulic pipes, hydraulic oil and other specific fluids had to be replaced. We also had to make a trip to Johannesburg to get some extra spare parts, filters, pipes and different mechanical parts.
This is just the beginning of our leveling work. Next we are excited to create the road leading to the dam space and dig the dam which will bring water and livelihood to our people.
